It does seem right, plus straight six sound, and not enough power to straight up kill yourself the first time you hit the loud pedal.

you can probably make decent na power out of it with cams and open exhaust. In a Miata decent na power in a 3l is superpower.

Honestly, don't get any of the love for the 2J. It's a good engine for drag racing, but it's like a 700 fucking pound long block ! I bet this miata under-steers like a MS3.
